The Stockroom at 230 & The Glass Box | Triangle NACE | Wedding Styled Shoots

A couple of weeks ago, I had the pleasure of attending my first Triangle NACE meeting as not only a new member but also as a participant in a theme inspired table decoration styled shoot.

Dana Kadwell of C&D Events and Jennifer Buenviaje of Makeup for Your Day hosted an amazing night full of education on how to boost your PR with the help of the owners of both Southern Bride and Groom as well as Wedding Magazine, who shared some tremendous insight as to how to boost your visibility, how and where to submit styled work and how they have grown with the times and remained so relevant.

The second half of the evening was crazy and fun and fast paced. Each table was sent up from The Stockroom to the The Glass Box to compete in a pop-up styled themed table style shoot. Which really just means that various wedding professionals both teamed up with the others at their table and went head to head in styling a single table as they would for a wedding. The twists, because what's a good competition without a few twists, were that you had an assigned theme (bohemian, sweet and romantic and high drama) and that you had 20 minutes to style the table with provided materials and then 10 minutes to style models around the table.

It was as intense and as high energy as it was fun. And in the end the folks from Southern Bride and Groom and Weddings Magazine chose their two favorite themed styled tables, which you can read about here and here.

While my images did not win the votes of the judges, I had a great time working with two great teams as well as getting to meet some new faces in the Raleigh wedding industry. Congrats to Red Bridge Photography and Fancy This Photography for their beautiful photos.
