Eiffel Tower Study (2 prints)
We have seen so many photos of the Eiffel Tower. From just below, from across the city, to at night, from across the Seine at the Jardins du Trocadero. I was here with my two sons. The line to the top was far too long for my 9-year-old to wait in (and likely me for that matter too - plus I am afraid of heights). So we sat right underneath and ate some snacks, watched the cable card shuttle people to the first viewing deck and people watched folks coming and going, looking for their own view. I found myself staring at this corner of one of the legs and just how ornate and symmetrical it all is, and I have a thing for symmetry. I thought about how this was constructed and how it was held together and that’s when I shot this. I wanted the x-ray (film negative) version and the real sight (film positive) version to be seen together.
