Decadent Knowlton Mansion Wedding | Philadelphia, PA | Stephanie and Andrew

Five years ago I was deciding what I wanted to be when I grew up.

I'm thirty-seven now.

I was between going to cooking school, becoming a tattoo apprentice or becoming a photographer. All of those things allowed me to provide something creative to people that I could then enjoy watching them enjoy. Clearly, I chose photography, and I am happy I did.

This life has already given me more and connected me to more amazing people than I ever thought possible. Not only has it connected me to new friends, it has reconnected me to old ones as well.

Stephanie and I went to high school together. For our years there we were often inseparable, even referring to each other as brother and sister. But life happened and we lost touch, until one day early last year she had posted on Facebook 'does anyone know of a wedding photographer?'

I replied with "yes. me."

I feel honored to photograph every wedding that I am at, but this was something special. Having that bit of history with Stephanie made that day and that ceremony that much more special to me. To see her and Andrew make each other laugh. To see them play with their little boy and the love they share for him. To see their first dance. And to see them spend time with their family and friends. It was awesome. Then add on to all of that, they were married at the stunning Knowlton Mansion just outside Philadelphia - this was one of my favorite weddings of the year!

There are plenty of reasons that I am thankful for the career that I have but it's days like this that are especially humbling.
