The Biltmore is THE marker for Asheville, so getting to share Elaine and Kristin’s first time to town AND getting to photograph their Biltmore House engagement session for them was even more fun. A decade ago, I couldn’t even imagine this.

Anyone who has planned a wedding over the last three years knows how hard it is (COVID has been a real pain in the ass) and how flexible and patient you need to be. Dustin and James had to move their Asheville wedding day several times, and through it all, they kept moving forward, perhaps sometimes with a wonderful adult libation, but forward is forward, am I right?

Asheville, North Carolina is a lot of things, one thing it is not is disappointing, and Caitlin and Gregg’s Claxton Farm fall wedding could not have been at a better time. Fall foliage was in full color and Choco Chip the llama was in rare form. Have you ever seen a llama snag some greens from someone’s mouth and then mean mug the camera? Between the gangster llama and this beautiful western North Carolina mountain wedding, you are all in for something special!

In the city, my head is on a swivel as I try to take in everything around me (except when I am in New York, only because I know I'll look like such a kook of a tourist so I try to be sly as I pick my sights). But in the mountains, it's just simple beauty. Nothing more than what you see in front of you because you don't need anything more.

I am excited for 2016. A lot of great things will happen this year that are already on the calendar. Though I decided I am going to put some of the things I want to accomplish this year out in the open. This isn't so much a resolutions list as mush as it is a goals or wants list, just something to keep me churning and creating:
